William E. “Bill” Edwards, President and Chief Executive Officer and Director, is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the bank and the holding company. With over 40 years in commercial banking, Bill brings to MCB experience as a commercial and corporate lender, capital markets originator, investment analyst, and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).  Before his time at MCB, Bill managed commercial, corporate, and real estate lending divisions for a large regional bank, and he also worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. A graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a finance degree, Bill is also an alum of the Washington County/Johnson City and Kingsport Chamber Leadership Programs. He has previously served on numerous humanitarian and community boards. Bill enjoys University of Tennessee athletics, baseball, travel, and spending time with his family.

Kevin Horne, Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, and Chief Banking Officer is a member of the MCB Board of Directors. With a background in banking and financial services of more than 29 years, Kevin brings a wealth of experience in credit quality, commercial lending, and retail banking. In his current role at MCB, Kevin oversees the bank’s Operations Department, Credit Administration, Loan Review, Credit and Asset Quality, Retail Operations, Special Assets, and other deposit and loan functions. A graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a business degree as well as a graduate of Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Kevin has been recognized as a 40 Under 40 business leader in the Tri-Cities. Kevin enjoys University of Tennessee athletics, hunting, fishing, and travel.

Bobby Brown, Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager, brings more than 20 years of banking experience in branch management, branch administration, commercial lending, bank operations, security, properties, and training. Todd earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Tennessee State University. Cindy Widener, Vice President and Relationship Manager, serves as a commercial and consumer lender for the Tri-Cities area. Cindy’s previous financial experience at MCB includes working with the director of investments and financial planning and she also served as Branch Manager at the Bristol Highway branch in Johnson City.  Cindy graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and holds licenses for Series 6, Series 63, and Life, Accident and Health Insurance in the State of Tennessee.  She enjoys cooking, farming, and gardening.

Rualette Bowen is Vice President and Branch Manager of the Mountain Commerce Bank (MCB) location on Bristol Highway in Johnson City, TN. Shane M. Broyles, Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer, has more than 15 years of banking experience in all facets of the industry. During his banking career, which includes working for four banks in East Tennessee, Shane he has worked as a teller, customer service representative, assistant manager and loan officer.

In 2020, he joined Mountain Commerce Bank in his current role, working at the bank’s Erwin, Tennessee location.

Shane holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration—with a focus in marketing—from East Tennessee State University. He has also completed coursework in credit analysis.
